Shortly after graduating from NIDA Matthew won the lead role of Princeton & Rod in Avenue Q. Other musical credits include Fiddler on the Roof, Kinky Boots, Yarramadoon The Musical, Into the Woods, Meet Me in St Louis, A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder, Who’s Your Bagdaddy and Paw Patrol Live! For the screen, he worked on the ABC series Blue Water Empire, the short film Problem Play and most recently appeared as Zephyr in Deerstalker Pictures’ 1 For All. His stage musical Tall Poppy (Miss Westralia) had its first professional tour of WA in late 2021, before a concert reading at KXT in November of the same year in which he played Frank Packer. Matthew has appeared at the Hayes Theatre in High Fidelity, Gypsy and Jekyll & Hyde is soon appearing in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes as Henry Spofford.
